Los Angeles, California architectural photographer John Lewis provides the highest standards of service and creativity for commercial and residential photography for architects, builders, designers, developers, conservancies and institutional clientele. His documentary photographs of historic landmarks have won awards, most notably from UNESCO for his work on world heritage sites.
Focusing on the urban landscape for the better part of his career, Lewis creates technically outstanding and aesthetically powerful work. As a working fine-art photographer, he uses modern technology to enhance old-world skills to create architectural photographs that are artistically composed and painstakingly crafted.
Lewis also works on municipal surveys and building documentation. For the Getty Conservation Institute, he created the images for their "Incentives for the Preservation and Rehabilitation of Historic Homes in the City of Los Angeles" and the "Los Angeles Historic Resource Survey Assessment Project". According to the Getty Conservation Institute, Los Angeles' early foresight in recognizing the importance of a strong cultural resource program saved many buildings that today are among its most beloved landmarks.
